Wednesday, June 02, 2004 today is vesak day so happy vesak-ing! also followed my mum to eastpoint ntuc and i tell you it was a dreadful mistake. my mum is like a kid in a candy store. she flits form aisle to aisle wondering what to buy and asking me to calculate which brand is a better buy. we stood in form of the toothpaste for an age. ok background info: we are going for our churhc camp from this friday to next monday. malaysian water is not very reliable yeah? so my mother was. which brand of water should i buy? in the end settled for the fairprice brand cos it was a dozen for $7+. later at the fruits section she kept pestering one guy to hurry up and unload the oranges becasue the present oranges weren't good enough for her. ORANGES ARE ORANGES! whether light or heavy, cold or warm. yes. then she caleld that guy 'boy'. i was embarrassed. okay. so we had a dozen 1L bottles of water, two 1.5L bottles of root beer, 19 apples, 15 oranges plus a whole lotta junk. and ntuc was on B1. the car was on the 4th floor. think 14 bottles of water. -currently im explaining to my mum what a blog is- later i had to return the trolley to B1 right? some idiot anyhow chucked his trolley so that i could not put mine in. okay abit hard to describe here so anyway bottom line is after a few "what the hell's" i left the stupid thing there. i think the guy behind the security camera thought i was deranged or something. word of advice to every child there. do not go grocery shopping with your mother. i know i wont. :) "you make it hurt so good" -- john cougar angela posted this at 22:14 [comment] *** |
