Tuesday, October 04, 2005 hm i know this sounds really ego, but this post is for all the lovely people who decided to miss me in my absence and send me well wishes of any sort. well, thanks! [ok only this part of the post is for you all. nah, take!] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ now THIS big chunk is for me! let me talk. i havent spoken here in a week. its seriously a week. mmy goooooodnesss. anyway. i had dengue. i dont know if i still have it now, because i feel fine. and i certainly look alot finer than i was in hospital. dear friends, normally hospitals are for visiting sick people in; but i am glad you didnt see me. i looked like. NOTHING any of you would recognize! ok wait. let us go in chronological order. friday we all went to kk hospital. and took more blood tests. the one in kk we took was weird. the nurse woman [who was a rather grouchy one at that] punched a hole in my middle finger to draw blood. then she squeezed my finger like crap and it hurt terribly not because it was bleeding but because it refused to bleed properly so she squeezed all the more. and she had this little container which she dripped the blood in. hello why is kk like that. tantockseng and the bedok polyclinic uses a very nice method. it is called an injection. ok i shall not bore you all with differences in blood tests. anw on friday i was so happy that my platelet count rose to 119 [thousand] [the usual is 200,000] which meant i didnt need to be warded. then on saturday it happily dropped to 43. i was WAH LIKE THAT DIE LAH so off to ttsh we went. it was evening then. the doctor on duty was crazy. he kept repeating to us that he was ''the senior doctor on duty'' and saying things like ''oh dengue theres a chance of paralysis, but dont worry, being the senior doctor on duty i wont let that happen!" if i werent so sick and dead- feeling, i would have laughed on the bed. oops. csi starting now. i shall continue where i left off another day.
