Friday, December 09, 2005 since i am wheezing and parents think i may collpase on the field, i am at home. [then what is the ventolin for i wonder] let me share with you this bulletin from my church. its like a story, dated 29/30 october 2005 of. "The word 'rendered upon' denotes properly to wait, in the sense of expecting. The phrase, 'to wait on Yahweh [another name for the Lord]' means to wait for His help,; that is, to trust Him, to put our hope and confidence in Him. Many a time we give up easily and not wait upon the Lord. What we want, we want it istantly (express service) but God has His own way. Let me share with you this story: A man decided to withdraw from his Christian life. He told God, 'I want to quit my relationship, my spirituality and my life too.' He went to the woods to have one last talk with God. He told God to give him one good reason not to quit. God's reply to him was, 'Do you see the fern and the bamboo? When i planted the fer and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave light and water to them. The fern grew very quickly from the earth. Yet nothing came from the bamboo. But I did not quit on the bamboo seed.' God told the man, 'It took me 5 years to see a tiny sprout emerge from the earth. Complared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the 5 years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.' God told the man, 'I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle. Did you know, my child, that all this you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots?' 'I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. Don't compare yourself to others.' God told the man, 'The bamboo had a differene\t purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful. Your time will come. You will rise high.' The man questioned God, 'How high should i rise?' God answered, 'How high will the bamboo rise?' The man replies, 'As high as it can?' God said, 'Give me glory by rising as high as you can.' I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you. Never regret a day in your life. Good days give you happiness; bad days give you experience. Both are essential to life." to know that God will never give up on you is a great thing, but till you actually experience it yourself; when God saves you from the very worst situation you can every face in your life, then will you truly know it. and how amazing, is it not. this was just before the HCL O's. when i was feeling so terrible that going to church just didnt feel right, till i read that message and was touched. ------------------------------- you know normally i am not so mushy. but i think when it comes to the wonder of God's love its alright to be mushy. <3 oh yeah. happy birthday to me. angela posted this at 09:08 [comment] *** |
