Friday, December 16, 2005 well guess who's back. me of course : lets start from sunday, deb's christmas party. it was so fun and wacky! food FOOD FOOOOOODD like chunks of turkey sushi sashimi darn cannot rmb exactly what it was too long ago. after round one, we went for round two. round two i remember very clearly. mango pudding chocolate fudge cake with fudge one inch thick cheese cake HALF a konyaku [how to spell] jelly cake which deb kidnapped from the kitchen longan and almond jelly heh. then there was a whole tin of hello panda. not packet, nor a jumbo packet, but a super mega tin of hello panda. in fact there were two tins but eventually halfway through the chocolate tin we had enough brains to get both tins away from us. we were so full yet we were still eating because the thing was right in front of us haha. i think the carolers practiced much more this year. their harmony was not as weird and funny as last year's lol. and deb surprised me with the konyaku jelly cake for my birthday! actually it was just a huge slab of jelly. and deb just had to embarrass me in front of her family her parents their medical friends and the little children as well. oh wells but THANK YOU DEBORAH! :) and OH OH the two gays rendition of 'last christmas' was so extremely hilarious that we were laughing like mad. i remember last year when we SAW it for the first time we were all stifling our giggles. this year we openly guffawed. :D had another crazy talking session upstairs and oh i never really know what we talk about exactly, but our conversation can generally be grouped into a few categories. US, sinckersnicker and haha. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- then the next morning was youth camp. was extremely apprehensive toward the whole thing, as it was 5 days and i knew not a single person well. i must have known only a handful of names when it started, and now i am trying to remember a whole lot. slept real late and woke up real early [by my standards, 7.30 am is unearthly] to get to parkway macs by 8.30. already at that time i was feeling so superly awkward. i only got to know my tribe leader the day before! oh yes, our tribe names were taken from the 12 tribes of Israel and we were Asher. the coolest name out of the twelve! soon after we left for katong hostel where camp was to be from monday to friday. after being briefed we were handed this food hunt list. and had to think of food from A - Z! guess what our X letter was. xia mian [prawn noodles] then the people from city harvest in KL arrived and at first it was a little weird cos they were adults while all of us were in our teens except rachel. and we went to so many places looking for hip hop jelly just to take a picture of someone eating it.. oh my goodness. was fun though. anyway. i shall continue another time. dinner calls. many thanks to Asher! especially to tribe leader Emmanuel, May, (metro) Matthew, Rachel and Rox. angela posted this at 20:15 [comment] *** |
