Sunday, January 01, 2006 last night's watchnight service at church was amazing. people came up to share their testimonies and i tell you, God is certainly still working miracles today. like that guy who was going at 160 km per hour, not wearing a seatbelt and crashed. doctors expected him to become a vegetable as he suffered severe head damage and thus was in a coma. however, Jesus appeared to him in a vision and said: if you want to live, walk towards the light [for Jesus was bathed in light] and so in two weeks, the fella recovered completely! as in as good as new you know. then there is this great thing that benchoo of st. hilda's shared. he said that in all the history of st. hilda's chapel sessions, there were never any salvations, and students would just pon chapel. but with God's hand in all this, there now exists a student band that plays for chapel, and benchoo himself has spoken during sermon. in school! and there were souls saved! Praise God! these two testimonies of what God did in 2005 are like 2 out of 20 or 30. at that time, i prayed that this time next year, i'd have something to share too. today these verses really struck me. Matthew 5: 14-16 says: "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." get it? ok this is really getting on my nerves. my left eyelid has been twitching for a week. its like having hiccups for a week. and i really pray that JC will be great. really. currently i want a job that requires nothing of whatever im gonna study or have studied. meaning, no form of engineering, medical whatevers, chemistry anythings or mathematical formulas are going to be needed in my future job. that narrows the field, doesnt it? so. i can only do things like. real estate. or a personal trainer [HAHA]. or a psychiatrist. to which my parents object strongly. have a blessed new year people! angela posted this at 22:26 [comment] *** |
