Saturday, January 07, 2006 orientation started out badly, but ended great many many new friends! aiya but on the first day i think most people felt the same. that they didnt like orientation that much. especially since i knew no one other than charmaine pan! here are some highlights of orientation 1. the dancing i really dont like being made to dance but in the end we didnt even dance with our partners [partly because everytime the dance music came on some people's house caught fire/some people felt the call of nature] haha. i think all of us in eztrella danced with a person of the same sex. it was only the practicing we didnt. 2. the station games my, my. boy are they obsessed with making us touch males. and vice versa. as in you know. get in contact with them. actually B1 i was grossed out when i had to put my face on your [ugh] back. thank God you weren't sweaty!!!!!!! but really. what with pasta sticks and rubber bands and always having a boy girl pair, you'd think none of us ever been near a male before? oh. my og had 13 girls to 8 boys. 3. the external activity after going to clarke quay we went around to some place else forgot where and and had to do a skit involving a gay marriage. the whole thing was pretty racist so shall not mention but it was hilarious. then we landed on this bridge and was challenged by another og to a game of ping pong hockey. we had to use our shoes as hockey sticks and the game got nowhere because no one scored. then it was a penalty shootout. 5 girls and 5 boys form each side. the guys went first and scored we scored 2, they 3. haha the girls got 5-3 and as their fourth player didnt score so we won. i must say. guess who was the goalie. ME oh man i rock. [PLEASE! let me have a small ego boost please!] aston told me to just imagine i was fielding grounders. but the pp ball so small! but in the end my left hand blocked everything. [egoboost] because the left hand is the one with the glove so my left hand did all the work. [BOY I ROCK] haha okay fine. bout of egoness is over. 4. the handphone numbers i accidentally saved jean's ho no. twice, one under her name and the other under joohui's. haha that was confusing. and stupid. 5. the isabelle game the field was wet. oh but it was fun. i wouldnt have minded going twice to attack! every house was against MR. due to some alliance thing. so before it started this guy who had really cool hair went up to lead cheers. he was like okay lets do the -makes loser sign on both hands- cheer. for -looks down at BLUE chair- ok? hm then when it started jean couldnt play cos she has allergies poor girl. my partner was oh, like 1.8-1.9m? just how tall are you anyway tian mun. we were tied at the ankles and his foot is twice mine. how to walk! that was really maluating especially when you meet your friends on the field and they laugh at you. but tian mun was long enough such that he dove at people's feet and burst their balloons very quickly. like you say, its like dota lol. and we kept tripping. so we resorted to hopping which was tiring. that was really fun. 6. the smiling and the clubbing nicole said i look like someone who clubs. now that is odd! because at the arcade on fri the auntie asked me for my ic and man was i insulted because she dont believe i'm 16. :( also was told i look dao and pissed because i dont smile. sigh my normal face is always like that lah. but really if i go round smiling for no apparent reason i feel real dumb! 7. prata house left school for prata house at slightly before 10. the kosong prata is 50cents and the dinosaur was $1.50. both were good. we sat in this darkened area and later bought cards to play bridge. B1 [B1 is sji brian and B2 is ri bryan is it?? not sure of spelling.] couldnt play and we didnt teach him haha. i left with zen or is it zann and li qui [oh dear dunno how to spell] about 11.20, got to bishan mrt at 11.40 and missed the last train. me and deb panicked AGGGHH AGG HOW TO GET HOME when we saw bel and borrowed money haha. actually deb we needn't have borrowed after all. THANK GOD FOR BEL though, cos we were in quite a panic. got home at 12.25 like that. so here's thanking all of you in eztrella 2006! esp. wonderful wan jun, assy aston and juicy justin. lol. and i hope we still meet up. by the way. all the males in my class look like. oh i remembered. if you have nothing nice to say, dont say it. just that when me and tan got to class i had a shock because all the males were sitting in front! so the girls sat behind lor. i thought usually the other way round. and for goodness sakes please SHAVE. moustaches are very unbecoming. its like you paste your eyebrows below your nose like that. a little fuzz is bearable, but not a full grown thing!!! i really thank God for being kind and giving me tania and ah liang. well these 4 days were fun, though i was really apprehensive about it and in the end i am now sick. :D so if any of you read this though i highly doubt yall know if this blog's existence, thanks lots for this week! angela posted this at 12:02 [comment] *** |
