books are wonderful. if ever i get addicted to anything, i'd like it to be books.
i mean they transport you so wonderfully into another place, another time, another person.
they dont even need to say: alright imagine this is happening to you right now cos you already do, and its not imagination either.

books are wonderful. and i must say i am quite disappointed alex isnt at all into reading. btw if you think that i;m some chronic reader.. you havent seen my sister! she's read even more agatha christies than me i am quite ashamed to say. its she who recommends all these great books and sifts out the boring ones that i might not like. funny enough even though she's not here physically, i dont even feel like she's very far away at all. how to express.

its like i know she's in the US but that doesnt stop me from feeling her presence in this family, in this house, even in her room. like i feel it in my bones she's somewhere about. and its not the creepy pontianak feeling i;m referring to haha.

if ever i ever ever have the guts enough to TRY writing a story (not even a book) yall better not laugh at it if i let you read it!

okay i currently picked up this book lying in one of the shelves at home. its called house of the scorpion, and so far its great and therefore not great at all in this current prelims period.
why have i not seen this book before!

damn.

and sigh just the other day i was introducing to alex all the books that i enjoyed, and he didnt even look interested at all! hello by his age i'd read mathilda, james and the giant peach, the bfg, charlie and the chocolate factory, chronicles of narnia, lots and lots of famous five/nancy drew/hardy boys and a heck lot of archicomics (lol) a few times over. and he recently just graduated from captain underpants. argh! he takes 2 months to read one agatha christie.

HOW do you even REMEMBER the plot!?!?!?

hm. isnt the point of murder mysteries to try solving it before the book concludes and all is revealed?

but still jie always teased me for not reading enough cos lol i tended to re-read books. humph! jie if you ever read this, its because of YOU that i always resisted reading Anne of Green Gables!! because of your mania with it i.. lol just didnt want to read it and discover it was nice and you were right.

sigh this was a happy rant. somewhat wistful too.
