Friday, March 14, 2008 Went to see Jools Holland and his band on wed night at the esplanade. It was really good, quite a refreshing change from the kind of music I normally listen to. This was more of jazz and blues. And I tell you I have never seen a larger congregation of AMs in my life. Really. Not in Singapore, that is. My dad, brothers and I were practically the only Chinese Singaporeans there. One disappointment was that the bassist did not get to solo. WHY are bassists always the neglected ones! Injustice. Every other instrument had a solo. The bassist was in a suit, bald, and totally cool. -interjection- [go listen to the bass on 'Smooth' - Santana/Rob Thomas] Highlights over. I am sick. Feeling jellied in the knees. Just want to lie down. But sleep doesn't really come because it is only the body that is tired. Sigh I just made $168 less from taking half day on wed and full days on thurs and fri. ----------------------- Why do I feel friendless. Yes that is the word, really.
